Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Michael B. Guthrie graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

During his training, Guthrie studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and participated in physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

Guthrie is the son of Janis Marchese of Calais and a 2006 graduate of Calais High School.
