Why is this war called the “Iraq war”? The Iraqis did not start this war, they did not ask for it, none of them were involved in the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, nor were they collaborators with al-Qaida or the Taliban.
Congress needs to have the courage to call this war what it truly is: the Bush-Cheney War. They pushed for it, lied to and misled Congress and the people to support it, and rushed into it with virtually no strategic planning.
Is there any reason why Congress cannot correct this egregious mistake and rename the war with an appropriate and more accurate title? Don’t we want history to reflect the truth?
I would urge people to contact their senators and representatives to set the record straight. To call it the Iraq war is misleading and unjust.
