Hermon’s Kelley perfect Dexter, Bangor Christian, Bucksport post wins

BAR HARBOR – Junior Ashley Kelley pitched a five-inning perfect game to lift the Hermon Hawks to a 12-0 high school softball victory Thursday over the Mount Desert Island Trojans.

Kelley struck out 11 and didn’t walk a batter for the Hawks, and helped her own cause with a home run and a triple.

Erin Arnold and Amanda Page each had two singles for the winners.

At Oakland, Chelsea Ouellette hit a three-run double in the first inning to lead Messalonskee past Old Town.

Kayla Pease singled twice to drive in two runs for the Eagles.

Toni Cole doubled and singled with two RBIs for Odl Town. Sarah Wilcox had two doubles and Ashley Goodwin doubled and singled.

At Dexter, Michelle Chapman went five innings allowing one run in four hits with nine strikeouts to lead Dexter past Foxcroft Academy.

Katie Poirier and Jana Kenney each had a double and drove in a pair of runs for Dexter. Jessica Mason added an RBI single for the Tigers.

Courtney Withee, Bekah Flanders, Lindsay Chase and Kelsey Boss each singled for Foxcroft Academy.

At Deer Isle, Christin Pelletier hit a grand slam in the second inning and singled three times to lead the Bangor Christian Patriots past Deer Isle-Stonington.

Kelly Robinson doubled, singled and drove in two runs for the Patriots. Jillian French had two singles and two RBIs.

Audra Eaton had a double, single, and one RBI for the Mariners. Whitney Haskell doubled.

At Houlton, Erika Lackey singled four times and drove in seven runs to lead Houlton past Fort Kent.

Nikki Eastman allowed just one run on three hits and one walk while striking out nine through four innings for Houlton. Eastman also hit a grand slam in the second inning and Lainey Herring had a triple and two singles with three runs scored.

Taylor Boucher hit an RBI double in the third inning for Fort Kent.

At Caribou, Presque Isle scored 11 runs in the final two inning to break open a 7-7 tie en route to the win over Caribou.

Allisen Donovan doubled and singled to drive in three runs for Presque Isle. Chelsea Glovins doubled and singled with two RBIs and Jodie Buckley hit three singles and scored twice.

Kristen Espling led Caribou with two doubles and two singles. Katie Ouellette had three singles and Jessica Kinney added an RBI double.

Keely Sullivan added a double and two singles with two RBIs for Bucksport. Alex Sullivan doubled and singled with three RBIs. Kayla Allen doubled and singled with two runs batted in and Katie Hurd added two singles and knocked in two runs.

Christine Kronholm singled in the fourth inning for Searsport.

Bethany Grant singled twice with five RBIs while Sammy Baker added two singles with a pair of RBIs for Narraguagus.

Collin Ciomei hit a three-run homer in the third inning for the Mariners and Ben Hardie added an RBI single and a two-run home run. Jon Eaton doubled and singled with three RBIs and Garcia had two singles with an RBI.

Jared Theriault singled in the fourth inning for the Patriots.

Luke Ireland and Dan McCue hit two singles apiece for Presque Isle.

Caleb Ashey had three singles while Tom Cameron added two singles and an RBI for Searsport.
