AUGUSTA – The Maine Emergency Management Agency is asking home and business owners whose property sustained uninsured damage during the Patriot’s Day storm to report that damage if they haven’t done so already.

The state is assessing damage to report to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Damage could take the form of flooded electrical equipment, flooded basements, damaged wall boards and living areas in basements.

Businesses may report significant loss of business because of the storm such as loss of retail trade, inability to ship product, inability of employees to report to work.

Reporting this information does not register residents and businesses for future assistance should it become available.

To report damage, call 324-1578 in York County or (877) 372-7363 in Cumberland County. In other locations contact your town office or local emergency management director.
