Three people face possible aggravated trafficking charges after Veazie police discovered 840 mg of oxycodone in a car early Saturday morning.

Veazie police Officer Brian Sirois stopped a vehicle around 1:50 a.m. Saturday for not having plate lights. He determined that the driver, Nicole Dempsy, 25, of Bangor was operating after suspension of her Maine driver’s license and arrested her.

Dempsy’s two passengers, boyfriend Justin Jenkins, 23, of Levant and his brother Henry Jenkins II, 27, of Levant were patted down and let go, Sirois said.

According to reports, Dempsy also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police searched the car and found a marijuana pipe in a black purse.

A prescription bottle, with the label torn off, containing 21, 40 mg pills of oxycodone also was found under the front passenger seat.

Dempsy told police that she didn’t know where they came from, that they didn’t belong to her, Sirois said.

“All three are facing charges of aggravated trafficking unless someone admits it was theirs,” Sirois said Sunday night.

The charge is elevated to aggravated trafficking because the vehicle was stopped within 1,000 feet of Veazie Community School.

Police are still investigating where the pills came from and are attempting to locate Henry Jenkins for questioning.

Orono police assisted Sirios after it was discovered that Henry Jenkins also has an alert code of previous possession of knives and guns. (Chelsey Ledue, BDN)

Two people were summoned for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs after Brewer police Officer Steven Boyd stopped a vehicle on Wilson Street for operating without taillights. The car pulled into the parking lot at Burger King around 9 p.m. Friday.

Alexandra Adams, 18, of Holden was the driver. She had a female passenger and two male passengers, one not wearing a seat belt, according to reports.

Police had them step out of the car to speak to them. Upon searching Damien Andolini, 20, of Bangor, they found a pill crusher with white residue, which he told them was Vicodin, and an Altoids canister with a plastic bag and white pills inside, later determined to be Vicodin.

Adams was asked if there was anything else in the car that the police should know about and she admitted to having a pot pipe and marijuana in her purse.

Both were summoned, but no arrests were made. Adams was charged with possessing a usable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Andolini was charged with unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug, Vicodin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. No one else was charged. (Chelsey Ledue, BDN)
