BANGOR – GrowSmart Maine plans a meeting to build support for shifts in state policy.

The public gathering is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Sea Dog Brewing Co., 26 Front St.

Changes are proposed in three major areas.

The Legislature has approved sending an innovation jobs bond to Maine voters. Other topics include streamlining government through a government efficiency commission and increasing in the lodging tax to invest in Maine’s landscape and communities.

The meeting will be moderated by Alan Caron, president of GrowSmart Maine.
