Driving and parenting

I am very concerned about the younger drivers these days. They seem to be careless about the danger of their actions. I believe they are driving to endanger. The law is that a 15-year-old can get a permit and only can drive with someone at least 18 years old who has had their license longer. In my eyes, that is too young for the responsibility of driving a vehicle.

The teen drivers are very disrespectful of other drivers and elders in general. It is my opinion that the parents are selfish and don’t give a consequence to actions that could hurt or kill someone. It is a lot easier and convenient for parents to pass the keys over to the young driver. Parenting shouldn’t be about convenience or the easy way out. It should be about concern and care about others.

There isn’t enough law enforcement to patrol all areas at all times. It is the parents’ responsibility to enforce their rules and laws and make a consequence for their teens’ actions.

When the bill comes up to vote if cell phones should be illegal to use when driving, we should all vote yes for the safety of our own families.
