Canoeing workshop and race

A canoe poling workshop and race will be held Sunday, May 6, on Kenduskeag Stream, Valley Road, upstream of the I-95 overpass.

Registration is 8:30-9 a.m. The instructional clinic is set for 9-11:30 a.m. The Maine State Poling Championships take place noon-4 p.m. The cost is $20. For information or to register, call Chip and Lani Cochrane, 237-3077, or e-mail info@allagashcanoetrips.com.

Junior League softball
