Canoeing workshop and race
A canoe poling workshop and race will be held Sunday, May 6, on Kenduskeag Stream, Valley Road, upstream of the I-95 overpass.
Registration is 8:30-9 a.m. The instructional clinic is set for 9-11:30 a.m. The Maine State Poling Championships take place noon-4 p.m. The cost is $20. For information or to register, call Chip and Lani Cochrane, 237-3077, or e-mail info@allagashcanoetrips.com.
Junior League softball
BANGOR – Bangor Junior League softball clinics will be held 6-7 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 13 and 20 at the Bangor Little League softball field. Those who have not yet registered may do so at the clinics. For more information, call Melinda Frost at 947-7539 or Mike Conner at 947-2471.
