Daigle, Paradis power Wisdom

LIMESTONE – Kayla Daigle and Chelsea Paradis each had a double and a single with a pair of RBIs as Wisdom of St. Agatha defeated Limestone Community School/ Maine School of Science and Mathematics 24-19 in a high school softball game Thursday.

Julie Peers and Stacy Bernier each doubled and drove in two runs for Limestone.

At Caribou, Kristen Espling hit four singles and knocked in two runs to lead Caribou past Fort Kent.

Jessica Kinney also had four singles and an RBI for the Vikings and Amanda Cyr doubled twice. Ali Richards hit a two-run triple and Serena Grier added a two-run double.

Taylor Boucher led Fort Kent with a triple and two singles with an RBI.

Van Buren 12, Ashland 4

At Ashland, Karie Ouellette and Kristen Vaillancourt both singled twice to lift Van Buren over Ashland.

Katie Clark hit three singles and knocked in three runs for Ashland. Whitney Flint had two singles and struck out nine.

At Houlton, Lainey Herring hit three singles and a double to knock in five runs as Houlton cruised past Hodgdon in five innings.

Erika Lackey and Kristen Graham each doubled and singled to drive in three runs for the Shiretowners.

Taylor Hovey paced Hodgdon with a three-run homer and Sara Brewer added two doubles and an RBI.

At Dyer Brook, Rob Toothaker pitched a no-hitter, allowing only one walk and striking out 12 as Southern Aroostook shut out Greater Houlton Christian.

Jeremy Boutilier doubled, singled and drove in three runs while Dillon Boulier tripled and singled with an RBI. Dakota Sleeper singled twice with a pair of RBIs while Gary Sutherland added two singles for the Warriors.

At Ashland, Kevin Baker doubled and singled to drive in three runs and lift Ashland over Van Buren.

Henry Milligan hit a double and a single to knock in two runs for the Hornets and Carl Nemer added an RBI single.

Matt Parent singled twice and for Van Buren and Andrew Martin had a sacrifice fly.

At Caribou, Derek Chasse slapped a two-run single as Fort Kent held off Caribou.

Derek Bonenfant singled twice and Josh Tardiff doubled and singled for the Warriors.

Jon Noyes hit a two-run single to lead Caribou while Matt Kinney doubled.

At Houlton, Chris Howland pitched a four-hitter and Josh McGuire had three singles and two RBIs to lead the Houlton Shiretowners to the win.

Ryan Hall and Mike Flewelling each hit an RBI double for the Shiretowners.

Jordan Guy and Andrew Lane each had a single and a run for the Hawks.
