SKOWHEGAN – Meghan McLain tripled and doubled to drive in two runs and lift Brewer to a 3-1 high school softball victory over Skowhegan on Thursday.
Hailey Smith drove in a run in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly for the Witches. Jordan McLain struck out 13, gave up one run, and scattered seven hits.
Megan Hancock had four singles and an RBI for the Indians, and Katlyn Steward recorded 10 strikeouts.

Deni Nicastro allowed just one run on one hit and three walks while striking out 11.

Dellaittre hit an RBI double to tie the game in the seventh for MDI. Ben Clark homered and doubled to drive in two runs. Sammy Stewart tripled and scored a run and Calvin Tweedie doubled and scored.
Alex Yates hit a solo home run in the sixth inning for John Bapst. Tyler King singled twice and Kyle Gallant hit an RBI single.
