SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Mike MacDonald of Camden was promoted from Double-A ball to the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs by the Toronto Blue Jays organization Monday.
He’s scheduled to make his first start for Syracuse Sunday.
The former Camden-Rockport High School and University of Maine star joins Syracuse after going 3-1 with a 2.51 ERA in five starts for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The 25-year-old MacDonald, who was drafted in the 26th round of the 2004 amateur draft, went 13-9 with a 3.94 ERA with New Hampshire last season.
