Toothaker, Boulier spark SAHS to win

DYER BROOK – Dillon Boulier singled and drove in two runs to lead Southern Aroostook to a 5-1 high school baseball victory over Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics Monday.

Clay Lawler singled and double for the Warriors behind Rob Toothaker, who pitched a three-hitter.

Kyle Dempsey lead the Eagles with an RBI single.

At Mars Hill, James Richard hit two doubles and drove in a run as Central Aroostook edged Van Buren.

Logan Thomas added an RBI single for the Crusaders.

Craig St. Pierre singled twice while Keith Vaillancourt added an RBI single for Van Buren.

At Madawaska, the Tigers were outhit by the Owls, but took advantage of seven Madawaska errors to win.

Austin Dufour had a double, a single and an RBI for the Tigers. Brian Andrews hit two singles.

Justin Morin had a double and two singles for Madawaska. Nick Thibeault had two singles.

At Fort Kent, Hunter Caron, Ryan Hill and Ricky Stairs each hit a home run as Houlton topped Fort Kent.

Hill and Stairs each had a two-run home run while Drew Farrar had two doubles, two singles and an RBI for the Shiretowners.

Derek Bonenfant, Derek Chasse and Nick Michaud each singled twice for the Warriors.

At Waldoboro, Tyler Eaton hit three doubles as Waterville cruised past Medomak Valley.

At Madawaska, Kaylee Cyr had a triple, two singles and two RBIs to lead the Owls by Fort Fairfield.

Stephanie Nadeau had two singles and three RBIs for the Owls. Crystal Arnoldy added two singles and two RBIs, and Ashley D. Cyr hit two singles.

Kellie Osgood doubled, singled twice and drove in three runs for the Tigers. Kaitlin Esancy singled twice.

At Dyer Brook, Stacey Bernier doubled twice to plate four runs as Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics rolled past Southern Aroostook in five innings.

Julie Peers laced a two-run double while Kelly Beers added two singles and three RBIs for the Eagles.

Brittany Charette led the Warriors with a three-run triple and Raya King singled twice and knocked in a run.

At Van Buren, Karie Ouellette singled twice and doubled to knock in two runs as Van Buren triumphed.

Kelsey Smith hit an RBI double and an RBI single for the Crusaders and Megan Lajoie singled three times with an RBI. Lajoie also struck out 11 in a complete-game effort.

Nicole St. Pierre fanned 12 batters and singled for Wisdom of St. Agatha.

At Fort Kent, Heather Haney hit four singles and drove in three runs to lead Houlton past Fort Kent.

Laney Herring had a double and two singles with two RBIs while Nikki Eastman added a pair of singles for Houlton.

Taylor Boucher doubled and singled with two RBIs while Marissa Albert doubled twice with an RBI. Shannon Martin added two singles and an RBI for Fort Kent.

At Waldoboro, Kayla Vannah pitched a one-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks as Medomak Valley earned the shutout in five innings.

Medomak’s Pam Neptune knocked in four runs on two triples and a double, while Abbi Sanblom tripled for two RBIs and Missy Kent hit two singles and drove in a run.

Paige Gardiner singled in the third inning for Waterville.

At Machias, Rachel Church collected four singles as Jonesport-Beals held off Machias.

Stephanie Whitman and Angie Attaei each drove in a run with a single for Machias while Fayrenne Lipton added a single.

At Blue Hill, Lydia Clapp pitched a four-hitter and made a one-run lead stand up the last three innings to help George Stevens Academy outlast Washington Academy of East Machias.

Kara Strout drew a leadoff walk in the fifth, stole second, and then scored on Amy Gellerson’s one-out single for the winning run.

Lexi Wessel and Jessica Keith each singled twice for GSA. Missy Redmond had a two-run triple.

Megan Look, Carilla Fritz, and Andi Flannery each had an RBI single for the Raiders.

At Eastport, Cassie Barnes scored the game-winning run on a suicide squeeze bunt by Shelly Melanson in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Shead past Narraguagus of Harrington.

Melanson singled twice and drove in four runs for Shead while Barnes had a double and two singles. Trish Candelmo added three singles and an RBI for the Tigers.

Andrea Perry drove in three runs on a triple and three singles while Samantha Baker added a triple, two singles and an a pair of RBIs for Narraguagus.
