Blue Devils blank Pandas Calais’ Perry holds Lee to one hit, strikes out nine

CALAIS – Stephanie Perry pitched a one-hit shutout, walking none and striking out nine as Calais defeated Lee Academy 6-0 in a high school softball game Tuesday.

Ashley Allen hit a home run, a double and a single with two RBIs for Calais. Lindsey Mingo and Perry each added a double and an RBI for the Blue Devils.

Amanda Gifford hit a single for Lee Academy.

At Bucksport, Keely Sullivan drove in six runs on a double and two singles as the Golden Bucks earned the win in five innings.

Alex Sullivan hit three singles for Bucksport, while Katie Allen singled twice. She scattered six hits for the win.

Eliza Worrell hit two singles for the Trojans and Allison Johnson had an RBI single in the second.

At Greenville, Lauren Fling rapped three singles as the Lakers rolled over the Cavaliers.

Becky Colpitts and Jamie Beers each had two singles and an RBI for Hermon.

Lindsay Chase doubled and singled for Foxcroft Academy.

Amber Benoit had a double for the Patriots, who capitalized on 10 PCHS errors to score seven unearned runs.

Meagan Tweedie doubled twice for PCHS.

At Greenville, winning pitcher Scott Hunnewell hit a three-run home run and two singles with six RBIs overall as Valley of Bingham earned the five-inning victory.

Corey Bean added two doubles and four RBIs for the Cavaliers.

T.J. St. Louis hit a triple and single with an RBI for Greenville. Rich Chilson also tripled and singled for the Lakers.
