CARIBOU – Caribou’s Jarryd Rossignol’s three-run double highlighted a five-run sixth inning after Houlton had pulled to within 6-4 with three runs in the top of the inning as the Vikings pulled away for an 11-4 high school baseball victory Wednesday.
Dustin Haines pitched six innings of seven-hit, four-run ball to collect the win before Pat Thibodeau threw a perfect seventh.
Thibodeau had two singles and two RBIs for the winners and Kyle Corrigan doubled and singled and drove in a run.
Rick Stairs had two singles and an RBI for Houlton. Mike Cleary had an RBI double and Josh McGuire had a run-scoring single.
