University of Maine baseball players Matt McGraw and Brian Hackett have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first team. Both will be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration.

McGraw, a second team Academic All-American last season, is a senior business major. The outfielder/catcher from Burlington, Ontario leads the team with 35 runs scored and 17 stolen bases.

Hackett, a biochemistry major from Bangor, is the lone sophomore on the first team. He has made 29 starts, mostly at shortstop, and is batting .333 in America East games.
