PRESQUE ISLE – Angela Norsworthy and Krista Coffin combined to pitch a one-hit shutout with no walks and nine strikeouts to lead Presque Isle to the 12-0 Class B softball victory over Foxcroft Academy in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday. The Wildcats also won the second game 16-4.
In the first game, Heather Fowler doubled and singled to drive in three runs. Allisen Donovan had two singles and Norsworthy hit an RBI triple.
Jasmine Fletcher singled in the second inning for Foxcroft.
In the second game, Chelsea Glovins knocked in three runs on two singles for Presque Isle and Donovan tripled and singled with two RBIs. Allison Young doubled and singled with two RBIs and Norsworthy and Coffin combined for 12 strikeouts.
Kelsey Boss led Foxcroft with an RBI single. Courtney Withee and Rebecca Flanders each singled and scored.

At Dyer Brook, Monica Alexander pitched a two-hit shutout and Christin Pelletier tripled and singled to lead the Patriots to victory.

At Houlton on Friday, Amanda Livezey pitched a complete game and earned the win for herself with a one-out, two-run single to center to score the tying and winning runs in the bottom of the eighth inning for Greater Houlton Christian Academy.
Livezey and Holly Camilleri each had two singles for the Eagles.
Chelsea Paradis singled three times for Wisdom of St. Agatha. Kayla Daigle tripled.

At Fairfield, Kiera Walsh fired a three-hitter, striking out seven and not walking anybody, and Paige Dicker’s run-scoring single followed three walks to break a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning as Lawrence of Fairfield triumphed.
A bases-loaded walk followed Dicker’s single to plate an insurance run.
Stephanie Johansmeier had two singles for Lawrence while Kate Peverada’s double and single and Eva Shannon’s double paced the Broncos.

Rangeley sweeps Greenville
At Greenville, Holly White hit a home run, a triple and two singles to help lead Rangeley past Greenville 20-8 in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Rangeley defeated Greenville in the first game 17-3.
In the first game, Angela White hit two doubles while Devon Faye and Laura White each added a pair of singles for Rangeley.
Lauren Fling had a triple for Greenville.
In the second game, Brook Durrell and Elly Stone each hit three singles while Faye added a single and a home run for Rangeley.
Susan Muzzy and Fling each had two singles for the Lakers.
Hodgdon 23, East Grand 0
At Hodgdon, Jayme Bither tripled, doubled and singled with three RBIs as Hodgdon shut out East Grand of Danforth.
Sara Brewer had a double, two singles and four RBIs while Amanda Scott added a triple and a single with three RBIs for the Hawks.
Jodi Crone and Tisheena Roy each singled for East Grand.

Presque Isle, Foxcroft split
At Presque Isle, Luke Ireland walked with one out in the seventh inning, stole second and scored the winning run on a Bennett Cassidy pinch-hit double to lead Presque Isle past Foxcroft Academy 5-4 in the first game of a doubleheader. Foxcroft Academy scored seven runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Wildcats 15-11 in the second game.
In the first game, Logan York singled three times for Presque Isle. Cassidy doubled and singled and Dan McCue had a single and two RBIs.
Nick Lancisi doubled twice for Foxcroft and Ian Champeon added two singles.
In the second game, Lancisi hit a two-out grand slam in the seventh to lead the Ponies. David White tripled, doubled, and singled to drive in two runs and Champeon doubled and singled. Tony Gabarro and Shane Atkins each doubled and singled with an RBI.
Logan York led Presque Isle with two doubles and two singles and four RBIs. Cassidy hit a double and drove in three runs and McCue added a double and a single with two RBIs.
