PORTLAND – The Maine Icebreakers U15 boys basketball team has qualified for the national AAU tourney after finishing third in the state tournament on May 5-6.

The Icebreakers defeated the Express 49-42 to secure third place in the state tourney and earn one of the three qualifying spots in the national tourney. The team will compete in July in Michigan or Arkansas.

Members of the team are from the Greater Bangor area and they are: Jacob Moore, Noah Burditt, Tyler Bessette, Bradford Hersey, Brian Higgins, Michael Jenkins, Greg O’Donnell, Jordan Richards and Nolan Turner.
