CORINTH – Kara Voisine hit three singles and drove in two runs to lead the Central Red Devils to a 6-1 high school softball win over previously unbeaten Penobscot Valley on Tuesday.
Hilary Haney allowed one run on four hits and four walks while striking out seven for the Red Devils. Chantel Randall singled three times, and Sami Morin and Jocelyn Portmann both had two singles.
Casey McCloskey led the Howlers with three singles.

Joe Gilley smacked a two-run home run in the first for Penobscot Valley of Howland. Aaron Saucier contributed three singles and two RBIs.

At Guilford, winning pitcher Roy Burdin’s RBI single highlighted a five-run third inning that propelled the Pirates past the Pandas.
Jarrod Robinson topped the Piscataquis hitters with a double, two singles, and four runs scored; twin brother Jeffrey Robinson contributed a double, a single and three RBIs, and Justin Cleaves added a two-run single.
Ryan Beers hit a solo homer in the fourth to lead the Pandas, and Tim Worster and Derek Worster posted two singles and an RBI each.
