UNITY – The SAD 3 board is close to making an offer to a candidate for the superintendent position, Andrea Stark, the board’s vice-chairwoman said Tuesday.
The search has been narrowed to two, or possibly one candidate, she said. The board is scheduled to discuss in executive session the search process at a special board meeting tonight.
Board members are in the midst of making visits to schools at which the candidates are now employed, she said.
“We are getting very close to being able to offer the position,” Stark said.
She expects a decision within a week or so.
