SHERMAN – It may be May in Maine, but the weather wasn’t cooperating in Sherman, where the National Weather Service received a report of snow.
Richard Norton, a hydrometeorological technician with the National Weather Service office in Caribou, said Wednesday that some higher elevations in the southern Aroostook town received some falling snow, but no accumulation, during the day.
That’s far from topping the state’s record, though. Norton said Caribou received a sprinkling of snow in June just five years ago.
