PRESQUE ISLE – Heather Fowler drove in three runs on two singles and a triple as the Presque Isle softball team improved to 9-1 with an 11-0 triumph over Houlton Thursday.

Allison Donovan singled drove in two runs and Emily Curry added two singles and a double. Krista Coffin chipped in with two singles for the Wildcats.

Lainey Herring singled and doubled for the Shiretowners.

At Danforth, relievers Raya King and Kim Pratt allowed just one run over 5 2/3 innings and Amanda Charette drove in three runs with three triples as Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook triumphed.

Kaylea Collier had a triple and single and Holly Ireland had three singles for Southern Aroostook and each had an RBI.

Tisheena Roy had a pair of singles and an RBI for East Grand and Nikki Tuck doubled.

At Ashland, Rachel Palmer launched a two-run home run while sister Amber singled three times to knock in four runs as Washburn earned the victory.

Kelsee McLaughlin added a double and a single for the Beavers.

Whitney Flint paced the Ashland Hornets with a two-run homer, while recording 10 strikeouts. Mindy Chasse had an RBI double and RBI single while Macey Pelkey tripled and singled twice.

At Van Buren, Megan Lajoie spun a five-inning no-hitter, striking out five and walking four as Van Buren triumphed.

Lajoie singled twice and scored four runs to help her cause for the Crusaders. Amanda Gervais slammed a two-run home run while Karie Ouellette added a solo shot, RBI triple and sacrifice fly.

At Fort Kent, Kristen Espling doubled, singled twice and drove in a run to lead Caribou past Fort Kent.

Ali Richards and Chelsea Bouchard tallied three singles apiece and Jessica Kinney notched two singles for the Vikings.

Marissa Albert had a double and a single and Taylor Boucher added two singles for the Warriors.

Felisha Robinson doubled and singled to knock in a run and scored two more for the Cougars.

Emily Heath paced Bangor with a two-run double while Courtney Stevenson and Amy Hackett each had an RBI single.

Caitlin Steward singled for the Indians.

At Belfast, Liz Brown’s RBI double sparked a two-run fifth-inning rally that lifted the Lions to an emotional victory over the previously undefeated Black Raiders.

Belfast took a 3-0 first-inning lead as Brianna Webster had an RBI double and Brooke Reed singled home a run.

Winslow tied the game with three runs in the third, a rally that included a 45-minute delay after Belfast pitcher Stephanie Whittier was hit with a line drive off the bat of Winslow’s Ali Kriegel.

Whittier was subsequently taken to a local hospital where she underwent tests before later being released.

Before she was injured, Whitter had two singles and a run scored. Reed had two singles, a run and an RBI, Brown singled twice with an RBI and Jillian Ross singled twice and scored a run.

Kriegel tripled for Winslow.

Chelsea Bawett singled for Messalonskee of Oakland.

Adam Thompson recorded two singles and a run scored and Nolan Gagnon was credited with the RBI for the Beavers.

Travis Linscott doubled and singled twice for Lee, while Tyler Doty singled twice with an RBI and Brandon Crocker singled twice.

Kyle McLeod pitched a five-hitter for Lee, striking out seven batters and allowing no earned runs.
