FORT KENT – The University of Maine at Fort Kent will offer a wilderness EMT upgrade course from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 15, through Thursday, July 19.
Lectures and exams will be given in the morning and hands-on practice and rescue simulations will be held in the afternoons.
Current EMTs can be upgraded to wilderness EMTs, with a three-year certification.
The cost of the program is around $589, the in-state tuition fee, and includes three hours of UMFK credit.
