FORT KENT – Thirty-eight University of Maine at Fort Kent nursing students received their nursing pins, signifying their official entrance into the profession, on May 11 in Fox Auditorium of the UMFK campus.
Faculty, staff and students, along with family members and friends of the graduates gathered to honor the recipients of the bachelor of science degree in nursing.
University President Dr. Richard W. Cost welcomed attendees and extended congratulations to the students.
Jenny Radsma, associate professor of nursing, addressed the nursing graduates and welcomed them into the nursing profession.
The theme for the pinning ceremony was “Nursing: A Profession and a Passion.”
The keynote speaker for the pinning ceremony was Dorothy King of Ashland.
