ELLSWORTH – For the second year in a row, video production students at the Hancock County Technical Center in Ellsworth were awarded a regional award for their work.

At a competition May 18, HCTC students participated in the New England School of Communications’ third annual video festival and won a NESCie award for outstanding participation and quality of work.

Individual prizes went to:

. Chris Johnston and Jeremy Wilkinson, third place in the Group Documentary category for a video they produced on Jasmine Ireland, an actress and teacher.

. Brandon Spencer, second place in the :30 Spot category for a video on Brian Langley, a culinary arts instructor.

. Tim Sobel, first place in the :60 Spot category for producing a video on John Linnehan, a local businessman.
