DOVER-FOXCROFT – Senior righthander David White required just 73 pitches to complete a three hitter as the Foxcroft Academy Ponies won for the sixth time in their last eight games Thursday with a 4-3 victory over John Bapst of Bangor.

White struck out five and walked just two, and also contributed a double, single and an RBI.

Abe Landry added a pair of RBI doubles for Foxcroft, while freshman Ian Champeon contributed a double.

Kyle Gallant, Charlie Merritt and Anthony Ortiz each singled for John Bapst. Junior righthander Kyle Gallant pitched a six-hitter for the Crusaders.

At Newport, Alex Gallant had two doubles, a single and an RBI to lead Bangor to its 26th consecutive win.

Taylor Gould, Isaac Osborne, and Cody Johndro singled for Nokomis.

Monica Gallant and Lily Barry singled to open the Hermon seventh. Kelley had an RBI forceout to tie the game before Barry scored the go-ahead run on an error.

Ellsworth scored its run in the second as Jen Richter walked and later stole home.

Richter also doubled for the Eagles.

At Newport, Sabrina Vaillancourt scored the tying run with two outs in the seventh inning on a Devon Carroll double and Erin Knight drove in Carroll on a single to lead Nokomis past Bangor.

Patrice Cianchette allowed no earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out two for the Warriors and Knight had two singles and a stolen base.

Sam Besse allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out 12 for the Rams. Tawnya Godinez drove in Amy Hackett on a single in the first inning.
