Daniel Baillargeon will be ordained today at Holy Family Catholic Church in Old Town. A teacher for some 20 years at Berwick Academy, Baillargeon, 54, then spent five years working in a mental health substance abuse agency. A news release from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland says Baillargeon began seriously thinking about the priesthood in his 40s. He has been studying at Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, Mass. The service at Holy Family will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26. Bishop Richard Malone will ordain.
