Pioneers roll by Panthers St. Pierre, Labrie pace Wisdom to five-inning win

MARS HILL – Nicole St. Pierre tossed a five-inning two-hitter, striking out eight and walking two, and Sylvia Labrie paced a 10-hit attack with a double, two singles, and an RBI as Wisdom of St. Agatha cruised to a 15-3 softball victory over Central Aroostook Monday.

Sade Dubois and Deliya Michaud each had two singles and two RBIs for the Pioneers.

Latisha Neece had a run-scoring single for the Panthers, and Alex Dame had the other hit, also a single.

Bucksport sweeps Caribou

At Caribou and Presque Isle, Terren Hall had a triple, two singles and three walks and scored twice to lead Bucksport past Caribou 14-9 in the second game of a doubleheader.

Bucksport shut out Caribou in the first game 14-0.

The game was moved from Caribou to Presque Isle after the field was unplayable due to heavy rain after the fourth inning of the first game.

In the first game, Hall hit a two-run home run and a single for Bucksport. Keely Sullivan doubled and singled and Katie Hurd had two singles and three runs.

Hall allowed four hits and one walk while striking out seven to earn the shutout win.

Kylee Landeen singled twice to lead Caribou.

In the second game, Sarrah Winters hit two doubles and two singles for Bucksport and Alex Sullivan added two doubles a single.

Katie Ouellette hit an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning for Caribou. Kristen Espling and Jessica Kinney tripled while Ashley Doucette walked four times and scored two runs.

At East Sullivan, Catie Cravens allowed only two hits and a walk while she struck out 13 to lead the Eagles.

Tasha Manning paced the Eagles with a two-run homer and RBI double. Sabrina Jellison chipped in with two singles and an RBI.

Kayla Higgins and Morgan Traxler each singled for the Tigers of East Sullivan.

At Howland, Jamie Milton scattered two runs on three hits while striking out 12 to lead the Howlers to the win.

Lexi Thurlow doubled and singled for Penobscot Valley, while Kelsey Lavertu doubled.

Tricia Hobbs doubled and singled for the Wolverines of East Millinocket.

At East Machias, Lindsey Mingo hit a two-run triple in the fifth inning to lead Calais past Washington Academy.

Stephanie Perry singled twice for Calais and Tessa Clark added an RBI single in the fifth inning.

Rebecca Cox hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning for the Raiders and Kayla Wood had a solo home run and a single.

At East Machias, David Crossman and John Deacon each singled twice and Scott Geel doubled and had two RBIs to spark Calais.

Roman Hall earned the win as he scattered nine hits and walked two.

Bryce Colbeth doubled and singled for the Raiders, while Joey Hunter and Takao Kurose each singled twice.

At East Sullivan, Greg Berry doubled, singled twice, and drove in two runs to lead Ellsworth by the Tigers.

Dillon Wilbur chipped in with a single and double for the Eagles, while Nick Hunnewell had two singles and two RBIs. Eric Fulmer added a double and single, and Pat Kelley and Adam Kaspala had two singles apiece.
