MILLINOCKET – Russell Porter’s two-run single highlighted the Stearns Minutemen’s five-run third inning en route to an 11-3 high school baseball victory over the Central Red Devils Monday.
Justin Pelkey added a double, single, and two RBIs for the winners, and Jordan Burleigh had two RBIs and two singles. Porter finished with two singles.
Josh Collins paced the Red Devils of Corinth with three singles, while Danny Kane and Levi Nickerson each singled twice.

Dillon Wilbur chipped in with a single and double for the Eagles, while Nick Hunnewell had two singles and two RBIs. Eric Fulmer added a double and single, and Pat Kelley and Adam Kaspala had two singles apiece.
Micky Manning and Nat Boyle each doubled for Sumner.

At Howland, Nevin Jipson hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to help lead Penobscot Valley past Schenck of East Millinocket.

At Caribou and Presque Isle, Bucksport riled up 31 runs on 32 hits to sweep Caribou 17-9 and 14-3.
In the first game, Cam Wadleigh paced the Golden Bucks with three singles, a double and two RBIs. Derek Fish singled three times to plate two runs and Chris Maguire doubled.
Kyle Corrigan had three singles and Justin Bouchard two more for Caribou; Pat Thibodeau doubled.
In the second game, Wadleigh and Todd Freeman each doubled and singled to knock in two runs for Bucksport.
Ray Wood also doubled and singled to plate a pair for the Golden Bucks.
Thibodeau had a double and single to drive in a run, along with Seth Sager for the Vikings. Corrigan added two singles.

Bucksport sweeps Caribou
At Caribou and Presque Isle, Terren Hall had a triple, two singles and three walks and scored twice to lead Bucksport past Caribou 14-9 in the second game. Bucksport shutout Caribou in the first game 14-0.
The game was moved from Caribou to Presque Isle after the field was unplayable due to heavy rain after the fourth inning of the first game.
In the first game, Hall hit a two-run home run and a single for Bucksport. Keely Sullivan doubled and singled and Katie Hurd had two singles and three runs.
Hall allowed four hits and one walk while striking out seven to earn the shutout win.
Kylee Landeen singled twice to lead Caribou.
In the second game, Sarrah Winters hit two doubles and two singles for Bucksport and Alex Sullivan added two doubles a single.
Katie Ouellette hit an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning for Caribou. Kristen Espling and Jessica Kinney tripled while Ashley Doucette walked four times and scored two runs.
