ROCKLAND – Cyrus Sleeper slapped a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth to lift Rockland to a 4-3 high school baseball victory over Belfast Tuesday.

Sleeper reached on an error in the seventh, and Derek Tripp scored the tying run on the same play; Josh Elwell added an RBI single in the inning.

Sleeper finished with three singles and three RBIs. Dom Morrill added two singles and Travis Colson a double and a single.

Tyler Bowen singled twice for the Lions.

At Danforth, Mike Jenkins hit a double and two singles to drive in three runs and lead Machias past East Grand.

Mike Little doubled and singled and scored three runs for the Bulldogs, and Jacob Stevens added two singles and two runs scored.

Shaun Stevenson hit a two-run double for the Vikings, and Kaleb Dicker singled twice.

Jeremy Look had two singles and an RBI for the Knights, while Matt Beal singled twice.

Ben Clark paced Mount Desert Island with a two-run triple while Nick Swanson hit an RBI double. Taylor Valarik added three singles and Brett Mitchell two singles.

Brad Bellamare’s two-run homer, Shane Adkins’ two-run single and Ian Champeon’s sacrifice fly keyed a five-run seventh inning rally by the Ponies that forced extra innings.

Aaron Flannery had a three-run homer for the Lynx and Peter Coggins had a two-run homer and a single. Josh Murchison doubled and singled and Long had a pair of base hits.

Josiah Richard, Ujiro Sano and Abe Landry had two singles apiece for Foxcroft.

Aaron Saucier hit an RBI double to lead the Howlers, and Bryant Ware singled twice.
