LINCOLN – Alex Bottarelli’s RBI single scored Aaron Flannery with the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Mattanawcook Academy to a 2-1 high school baseball victory over Ellsworth on Wednesday.
Flannery had two doubles and a single with an RBI, while Adam Long added a double and a single for the Lynx.
Pat Kelley had two singles and an RBI double for the Eagles.

At Richmond, the Richmond Bobcats rapped 26 hits to sweep a doubleheader from Greenville 15-0 and 13-1.
In the first game, Melanie Schanck had a double, two singles, and three RBIs for the Bobcats. Shelby Hurley, Katie Cray, Stephanie Cray, and Amy Will each singled twice.
One single each by Leslie Harris and Lauren Fling were the Lakers’ only hits.
In the second game, Hurley led the way with three singles. Schanck and Hillary Trott each singled twice.
Brittany Boucher’s single in the third for the Lakers broke up Richmond’s no-hit bid.
