Brittany is an engaging, friendly, outgoing girl. She has long, wavy, light brown hair, hazel eyes and a great smile. She loves spaghetti and meatballs, hanging out with her friends, listening to music and looking at pictures.
Brittany loves animals and is very good with them. She also has a lot of fun cooking and baking desserts.
Brittany enjoys school and is able to remain on task and complete her assigned work. She receives special education services to assist her with most classes. She is a creative student and engages well in situations where she receives more one-on-one attention from her teachers.
The best family for Brittany would be a two-parent or single-male parent who can provide a calm, structured environment. She requires a lot of supervision and guidance. Brittany’s adoptive family should be patient and have a consistent parenting style.
She thrives on positive attention and is thoughtful and kind to others. It also will be important for Brittany to have ongoing contact with her three younger siblings and her grandmother, with whom she has strong relationships.
Brittany is one of 151 children in the care of the state Department of Health and Human Services seeking an adoptive family.
Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
