ORRINGTON – The annual town meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 4, at the Center Drive School cafeteria. In addition to the budget, residents will vote on a number of warrant articles, including whether to enact a shooting range ordinance.

The ordinance to regulate shooting ranges was proposed by Perkins Point Road and Rocky Shore Drive residents. It would establish rules and policies for existing as well as future public and private shooting ranges.

The only shooting range operating in town is the Orrington Rod and Gun Club on East Bucksport Road.

Residents also will consider creating a municipal building reserve fund not to exceed $600,000, and whether to enter an agreement with Brewer to jointly develop a municipally-owned business park to be located in Orrington and Brewer.
