CAMDEN – Erin Little of Windham and Mark Tolman of Winthrop captured their respective division championships Saturday during the Midcoast Maine Soap Box Derby.

By virtue of their victories, Tolman and Little have earned the right to compete in the 70th annual All American Soap Box Derby scheduled for July 21 in Akron, Ohio.

Little was the winner in the Super Stock Division, edging runner-up April Waite of Casco. Ayla Libby of Standish finished third, followed by Kyle Pratt of Warren and Cameron Henry of Thomaston.

Rounding out the top eight were Alicia Waite of Westbrook, Ryan Splaine of Lincolnville and Chase Winn of Camden.

Tolman captured the Stock Division title by besting Tyler Leighton of Rockport. Brian Bradeen of Warren claimed third place, while Quinn Duggan and Bryant Clement, both of Camden, wound up fourth and fifth, respectively.

Alex Winn of Camden, Jason Pierce of Rockport and Jenna Hooper of Union also finished in the top eight.

At total of 31 racers competed in the event, which handed out some other awards.

Tyler Leighton (Stock) and Erin Little (Super Stock) claimed Best Car honors, while Thia Carter (Stock) and Trenton Jarrett (Super Stock) were recognized with the Sportsmanship Award.
