BANGOR – Surrounded by their new colleagues along with friends and family, eight men and women were sworn in last week as lawyers at a ceremony in the Penobscot County Courthouse.

The group was admitted to the practice of law May 30 after graduating from law school and passing the Maine Bar Exam earlier this year. Maine Supreme Judicial Court Justice Warren M. Silver of Bangor delivered the oaths and welcomed the new lawyers to the Penobscot County Bar.

The following lawyers will be working in Aroostook, Penobscot and Washington counties: Lisa R. Chase of Caribou, Francesca D. DeSanctis of Brewer, Aaron P. Kouhoupt of Caribou, David Mark Lieber of Orono, Heather J. Pisch of Old Town, Suzanne F. Saunders of Lubec, Eugene M. Sullivan Jr. of Brewer, and Roberta Evans Winchell of Bangor.
