HOWLAND – Mindy Dolley slapped an RBI single and Molly Thompson stole home as No. 2 Penobscot Valley punched its ticket to Wednesday’s Eastern Maine final with a 5-2 Class C semifinal softball victory over No. 6 Washington Academy of East Machias Friday.

The Howlers face the winner of today’s game between No. 5 Sumner of East Sullivan and top-ranked, undefeated Calais on Wednesday night in Brewer.

Lindsey Drost hit three singles for the Howlers while Kelsey Lavertu added a single.

Kayla Wood tripled and singled for the Raiders while Ashley Tilton singled twice.
