Old Town’s Canoe Hullabaloo kicks off Thursday

OLD TOWN – Canoe Hullabaloo will be held Thursday to Saturday, June 14-16, with all activities to be held at Riverfront Park.

The three-day event will kick off with a bean supper and cookoff 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday at Old Town Elementary School. The silent auction featuring more than 100 items is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by the live auction at 7 p.m. The cost for the evening is $5 and includes supper, the cookoff and both auctions.

Friday’s events start at 4:30 p.m. with setup for the antique car display and a fisherman’s barbecue from 5 to 6 p.m. with Elvis tribute artist Joey Loring of Indian Island performing at 6:30 p.m., followed by “KISS” at 8 p.m.

Saturday’s events run all day starting with registration for the bicycle poker run at 10 a.m., a carnival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and various entertainment at the park 1:30-8 p.m.
