Those dedicated individuals who operate Prevent Euthanasia Through Sterilization in Corinna are “at it again,” wrote Laurie Mountain.

PETS is hosting a huge, indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 15-16, on Route 7 in Corinna.

Mountain wrote all you need to do to find the location of the yard sale is to “follow the big signs.”

She added that “the building is overflowing with treasures of all kinds, and new items are still coming in.”

Mountain hopes you will “come support this all-volunteer, nonprofit animal welfare organization” in its “efforts to raise money for spay/neuter and other care of animals in need.”

Mountain especially appreciates all the support this organization has received, in the past, from “folks from Bangor and all the surrounding areas” who have helped make its previous fundraisers so successful.

Not only have the sales gone well, she wrote, “but we also were overwhelmed by the generosity and interest of the people in the community.”

Your assistance has come not only in the form of “buying from us and giving great tips,” Mountain wrote, but you also made “donations of money and items” and gave the volunteers “incredibly positive feedback about our mission.”

“The encouragement we were given was as important as the sales we made,” she wrote, “since this is so often very heart-wrenching, emotional work we do.

“It was great to know the communities are behind us.”

For more information, or to donate items for the sale, call Mountain at 278-2175, or Sue Slate at 379-2809.

“All donations and support are greatly appreciated and very much needed,” Mountain wrote, “since the calls for assistance continue to pour in to the PETS members who are trying so hard to make a difference in the lives of animals all around the state.”

“It was a wonderful gift to the students to enjoy the outside patio as well as the auditorium for our receiving line and dance.

“It is always nice when the community supports our schools in such a fashion.”

And Ross added, “It was fun to hear all of the parents remember their high school dance there, as well.”

Ross extends her “deepest gratitude and thanks to all who made our senior ball so successful.”
