HERMON – The River City Harmonizers performed recently for the resident of Collier’s Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ellsworth.

The singers gave two shows of their own special barbershop blend of four-part, a capella harmony for the appreciative and enthusiastic audience.

Activities director Carol Grindle greeted RCH director Mary Gaudreau and escorted the chorus to individual rooms afterward, where they met and sang to other residents.

Among them was Lura, who kept time with the Harmonizers’ rendition of “Happy Birthday” to celebrate her 90th birthday.

Women who would like to sing with the River City Harmonizers are welcome to attend open rehearsals at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Morgan Hill Event Center on Route 2 in Hermon.

For information, contact Lana Leighton at 947-1506 or Ellen Kenney at 338-4232.
