PITTSFIELD – Sebasticook Family Doctors, which has offices in Pittsfield, Canaan, Newport, Dexter, Hartland and Clinton, has just received $329,000 in grant funds from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration.

The funds will be used to open another office, according to Juanita Taylor, outreach director, but that location will not be announced until later this year.

The funds will be received over a three-year period, Taylor said.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to grow the services and programs for the people in our area,” Bridgette Burkholder, CEO of Sebasticook Family Doctors, said in a prepared statement. SFD provides a health care discount program, discounted prescription drug program, behavioral health care, walk-in care and social service referrals.
