Hampden teen accused of driving 100 mph

A Hampden juvenile was arrested after being clocked driving in excess of 100 mph on Interstate 395 late Wednesday, according to Brewer police.

The 17-year-old, who was not identified by police because of his age, was spotted on I-395 in Brewer headed toward Bangor. Officer Rodney Gerald of the Brewer police made the traffic stop.

The youth was charged with operating a vehicle without a license, driving more than 30 mph over the speed limit and driving a vehicle with illegal plates. The 17-year-old male was taken to the Brewer Police Department, where he was picked up by a relative. (Kevin Miller, BDN)

Brewer police charged a Clifton man with operating a vehicle while under the influence Wednesday night.

Andrew Robinson, 37, was arrested late Wednesday after police responded to reports of a disturbance at Brewster’s bar in Brewer. Robinson allegedly left the bar and was stopped on Wilson Street by police.

Robinson was charged with OUI, operating a vehicle without a license and operating a vehicle on a suspended license. (Kevin Miller, BDN)
