Boil-water order lifted in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD – The boil-water order put in place last Tuesday was lifted Thursday.

The order was issued after consultation with the Maine Drinking Water Program because of a broken valve on Somerset Avenue which possibly could have allowed bacteria into the water system.

Assistant Superintendent Scott Noble announced that all water tests came back negative for bacteria.
