Markus, Inge enjoy animals

Inge and her brother, Markus, are ready for a forever family.

They are living together and enjoy having each other around. For the most part, they get along well.

Inge and Markus want to continue to live together, and the adults who know them best agree that is the best plan for them.

Inge is a polite girl with a sweet smile and disposition. She likes to spend time with her friends playing outside. She likes to play baseball, basketball and soccer.

Inge likes school and says it is important to “get a good education.” Her favorite subject is science. She has been involved in her school civil rights team in an effort to teach people about bullying and how to protect yourself from being bullied at school.

She also used to participate in school chorus, and would like to do it again because she really liked it.

Markus is an energetic boy who likes to play outside. He will do pretty much anything: hide and seek, hockey, swimming, baseball, as long as he can be active and outside.

Markus says his favorite food is watermelon and his favorite color is “every color.”

Markus likes to collect seashells during trips to the beach. He likes to look at insects while exploring the outdoors. He interacts well with adults and enjoys the company of grown-ups.

Inge and Markus like animals, and they have two dogs, a cat and a bird in their home. Both of them enjoy playing with the pets and would like to have pets in their adoptive home.

Inge and Markus are two of 151 children in the care of the state Department of Health and Human Service seeking an adoptive family.

Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
