Abundant Life Church, 1404 Broadway, will hold an open house from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 24, to welcome its new senior co-pastors, Joshua Damon, 29, and his wife, Krystal Damon, 24, both of Bangor. She is a native of Carthage, Mo., and works as a registered nurse at a Bangor hospital. Joshua Damon grew up in East Millinocket and attended Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church there. After graduating from World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio, he completed an intern ministry in Tulsa, Okla., and earned a business degree there from Oral Roberts University. The couple returned to Maine in 2004, where he joined Abundant Life as the youth minister. The Damons were appointed senior pastors in April to succeed senior co-pastors Darren Farmer and his wife, Rachel Farmer. The couple left the church for personal reasons.
