It didn’t take long for Milo police to arrest one man and charge a juvenile in connection with a break-in Sunday night at Pat’s of Milo.

Christopher Creighton, 18, of Medford was arrested early Tuesday and charged with Class C burglary. A 15-year-old LaGrange juvenile also was charged Tuesday for burglary.

A screen door was cut and glass inside the door was broken to gain entry into the 20 Park St. pizza parlor, according to Police Chief Michael Poulin. Numerous cartons of cigarettes as well as six 30-can packs of beer and two six-packs of beer were taken during the break-in. The store owner has estimated that the damage and the stolen items amounted to $3,800.

When confronted Tuesday morning, Creighton allegedly gave police details of the break-in that were unknown to anyone other than the person who broke into the business, Poulin said Tuesday.

It was the juvenile who allegedly led police Tuesday to a forested area where some of the items taken from the store were found, Poulin said. Five lighters, a can of chewing tobacco, and 21 packs of cigarettes were recovered.

Poulin said more people may be charged in connection with the break-in as the investigation continues. (Diana Bowley, BDN)
