BAR HARBOR – A team of Bar Harbor Bank and Trust employees, their family members and friends who participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life held in Ellsworth on June 15-16 was the top Hancock County fundraiser for the third year in a row.

BAR HARBOR – A team of Bar Harbor Bank and Trust employees, their family members and friends who participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life held in Ellsworth on June 15-16 was the top Hancock County fundraiser for the third year in a row.

The team raised more than $8,000. In all, Relay For Life of Hancock County raised more than $61,000 this year.

Throughout the world more than 3.5 million people participate in Relay For Life. Events are held in 4,800 communities nationwide where teams of families, friends and co-workers join together to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember those lost, and fight back against the disease.
