Olympic champion Julien Absalon of France earned his fourth consecutive victory and clinched his second straight World Cup points title with one event still to race, on Sept. 15-16 at Maribor, Slovenia.
Jose Hermida of Spain placed second at St. Felicien, 1 minute, 18 seconds behind Absalon.
Craig was 5:39 behind Absalon, and finished as the top American in the 93-rider field. Second among Americans was Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (24th), followed by Craig’s Giant Bicycles teammate, Carl Decker (47th).
