BANGOR – Tyler LaPlante pitched a no-hitter, striking out 12 and walking two to lead the Bangor West 11-12 All-Stars to a 10-0 victory over Katahdin in District 3 Little League baseball action Monday.
LaPlante doubled twice and singled to knock in two runs for the winners. Bob Winchell hit a solo homer while Tyler Kenney hit an RBI single and Jordan Treadwell doubled.

At Brewer, Matt Morrow homered and tripled to knock in three runs to lead Brewer past Millinocket.
Sam Stanhope singled twice for Brewer while Spencer Valley threw a seven-hit shutout.
Nathan Cram doubled while Jonathan Dumas singled twice for Millinocket.

Orrington 13, Old Town 7
At Old Town, Kurt Massey’s two-run homer in the third inning put Orrington ahead for good.
Massey also hit three singles and posted a total of six RBIs, Christian LaCouture added a double, two singles, and three RBIs, Dillon Smith had a double, two singles, and two RBIs, and Ryan Gagne hit a double. Evan Pelkey struck out seven in four innings and earned the win.
Tyler Barnes led Old Town with four singles, Cam Archer rapped a double, and Johnny Toole had two singles.

At Orono, Simon Burdett hit a two-run home run and a single to drive in four runs and lead the Hampden-Newburgh 11-12 All-Star team past Orono-Veazie.
Cooper Antone hit a double and two singles for Hampden-Newburgh. Brian Fickett tripled and singled and Will Manning added two singles an two RBIs.
Isaac Lynch hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning to lead Orono-Veazie. Chris Introne and Zach Palmeter each singled twice.
