Hammock stands, toy castles recalled

The following recalls have been announced:

. About 3,000 hammock stands, imported by The Algoma Net Co., because the frame’s foot brackets can crack and cause a person in the hammock to fall. The company has received 28 reports of cracked or torn foot brackets, including eight reports of falls. The recall includes stands with model numbers 6250, 6250BH and 6290W88B, which are written on the top of the instruction sheet included in the packaging. Details: by phone at 800-800-7083; by Web at www.algomanet.com or www.cpsc.gov.

. About 68,000 shape sorting toy castles, manufactured by Infantino LLC, because a plastic rod holding plastic beads can come loose, allowing the beads to slide off of the toy. This poses a choking hazard. The company has received four reports of children almost choking on the beads. Details: by Web at http://service.infantino.com or www.cpsc.gov.
