Lynn Turnbull, RN, MHA, Vice President of Nursing at The Aroostook Medical Center, has been appointed to the Maine State Board of Nursing by Gov. John Baldacci. Turnbull will be the only Aroostook County representative on the board. Betty Kent-Conant, a nurse educator at Northern Maine Community College and a member of The Aroostook Medical Center board of trustees, represented Aroostook County on the board until her term expired on April 14. Kent-Conant had served on the board since 1999.

Turnbull, an Aroostook County native, has held various nursing leadership roles at The Aroostook Medical Center since 1994. She received a bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Southern Maine, a master’s degree in health care administration from Kennedy-Western University in Cheyenne, Wyo., and a certificate in management from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She is a member of the Organization of Maine Nurse Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Nursing Advisory Committee at Northern Maine Community College and the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and the Presque Isle Kiwanis Club.
